Rush Limbaugh had a caller that said that he couldn't give a bad review (one-star) on the Amazon site for James Comey's ghostwritten piece of excrement, "A Higher Loyalty: Truth, Lies, and Leadership," based upon substance. He is a verified buyer of the book, so it wasn't a spam posting. Limbaugh's staff went ahead and tried to post, each having purchased the book, but weren't allowed to post either. The only reviews are 4- and 5-star reviews (though there's one or two 1-star reviews that must have sneaked through the algorithm).
Go ahead and try this. If you have Kindle, the book is free, though you would have technically "purchased it." I have kindle and get many books like this, and always have been able to leave reviews. (In many cases I have read a book PRIOR to purchase, so it's not a matter of "not enough time between purchase and review" excuse either.)

Just give it four stars, but say in the review how awful it is and you would have given it a lower review but it wasn’t allowed. :)

I’d give the book a positive review: It’s nice to have around when you run out of Charmin. It can also serve as kindling for your fireplace.

Reminds me of the polls during the 2016 election cycle, always showing Hillary comfortably ahead.
Yet Comey’s book is supposedly a bestseller. Are those sales numbers padded and inflated too? How many sales were bulk purchase to show how.popular this book is???
Give it the minimum number of stars to get in, and in the body of your comment say you really give it zero or one star but write that you weren’t allowed to record that.

This foolishness reminds me of how some Hollywood “blockbusters” are hyped to try and make them “blockbusters”. Now matter how much PR and money is tossed at a turkey, it is still a turkey. People figure it out.

This needs to be verified. Buy a hardcover book, wait a few days, and try to post and see what happens. I doubt this, but want to see the results.
