Pitbulls are hated here.
Not by me but freepers hate pits as much as they love cats
I do not hate pit bulls. But they are are a part of a larger problem.
I have lived with or shared office space with: Golden Retrievers, Great Danes (one office was the dogs’) , Old English Sheep Dogs, Australian Sheep Dogs (blue merle) German Shepherds, Corgis, dauchsunds - 4 in one office, Labs of all types, papillions, pomeranians, Newfoundlands, Scotties, Chihuahuas, and cats, ferrets, birds, and reptiles of all types and sizes. And one pitbull, briefly. Have not lived with Rotties, but friends have had them.
Love socialized pits and cats. In fact love all animals.
A badly raised dog is as bad if not worse than a badly raised human. At least you can kick the badly raised cats ass. A pit out of nowhere... good luck unless you are CCW.
I hate pits and strongly dislike cats.
I saw our family friends pit turn at about 7 years of age. Thankfully we all barely made it to safety. The other dog distracted him long enough. I couldn’t get to the house, but made it to the roof of the garage. That dog I knew it’s whole life. It was well raised and a loved dog. Owner came out with his lever 22 and shot it. Well, shot through the screen door that is.
I’ve had other friends have terrible experiences as well. Each to their own, but I won’t take my kids or my hounds near one.
Few years back, I saw a dog chasing a mailman down the street. Dog was not on a leash, mailman looked terrified. The dog’s owner ran up and wrestled with the dog, finally getting a leash on it. The owner, I’m presuming it was the owner, pulled the resisting dog away. The dog was a pit. I asked the mailman about it when he got to our door. He said the only dogs he’s ever been threatened by on his route were pits.
“Not by me but freepers hate pits as much as they love cats”......
Well, I don’t like either of them.
No, no hate for the dog. Just the stupid owners who always seem to be chasing their dog on the attack of some innocent person or pet. Stupid owners about to be sued, again.
