'River of curry' is flowing through Bradford - and the source has finally been discovered

Bradford has more than 200 Asian restaurants and the yellow-stained river is an unfortunate side effect

Britain's six-time 'Curry Capital' is in a bit of a pickle after its rivers were stained BRIGHT YELLOW in a plumbing mishap.

The popular Indian dish has been flowing straight into the underground river through Bradford, in West Yorkshire.

It turns out that thanks to the city's ancient plumbing system, curry houses had no idea that their washing up water was finding its way into the River Aire.

The system means age-old buildings often dump their waste into its subterranean becks.

One of the major culprits are Indian catering businesses whose washing-up pipes were not directed to the sewerage system.

Instead, each time they were cleaning their dishes the Bradford Beck - a river which feeds into the River Aire - was being flooded with leftover curry.

Crawdads preseasoned..

If I remember correctly, the Brits aren't allowed to eat their crawdads...

And there's a bunch of Yankee crawdads invading, and they can't eat them either.

Is my memory correct Mr. Moose?

If Enoch Powell had said "I see rivers of curry" rather than rivers "foaming with much blood" he might have become prime minister.

He could have toned it down a bit in general, cut out the strange faces and gestures and avoided using the word "pickaninny" and he would have been golden.
