Yes, these guys were just nasty people. I was in a UWS Starbucks a couple of years ago, and the barista refused to admit a young white woman with her child because that is simply the policy and the employees can get fired if they violate it. I’d say it might be a little harsh, but otherwise, Starbucks would go the way of the public libraries, where there are so many “homeless” hanging out, watching porn on the free wifi, bathing in the bathroom sinks, flashing the other patrons....that there are virtually no other patrons.

A cup of coffee is not a lot to pay for a seat, especially if you’re talking about two men who had MBA’s. Had I been there, I would have offered to buy them a cup of coffee, and that might have embarrassed them enough to make them rational.

My story:
Last year I was in St. Pete and decided to stop at a Starbucks. I just go in get my coffee and leave (don’t like drive through).

While ordering I couldn’t help but notice the seats at the long table was full of black women. That’s nothing of note, but they were the loud type. So as I surveyed the scene, I noticed there wasn’t one cup of coffee on the table.

They must have been there a while because in the minute or to I was there, the manager went over and said something to them. I left and I was them filing out. but then one lady backed her car half-way into the lane for drive through and the lane to get out of the parking lot. Several other of the women stood by the car and they were continuing their conversation...right there, oblivious to the drive through customers, and me want to get out of the parking lot.

This went on for what seemed like 5 minutes, and finally the manager came out and said something and very slowly the impromptu meeting dispersed.

At the time my thought was, this are angry peeps looking to cause some kind of trouble or be the next Rosa Parks.

I wonder if this is the work of the community organizer?
