Similar to mad cow - but whose symptons are similar to what she is exhibiting these last few years. Unsteady walk, vision issues are just two that I recall.

You get it from eating infected mammalian nervous tissue. Think ‘Mad Cow Disease’. Takes years to develop and she wouldn’t be walking even as poorly as she does.
