People really are stupid!

Posted on 04/12/2018 7:08:23 PM PDT by conservativesister

Talking with hubby tonight and he said "boy, people are really stupid" Where have we heard this recently? My take is:

1. People have gotten too far away from the farm to know where food comes from and other common sense values.

2. People have gotten too far away from church to know the difference from right & wrong. Not a gray area here.

3. Lawmakers have gotten too far away from the 10 Commandments to know the law.

Thanks! I feel better now.

Some people are too stupid to be idiots.

“People have gotten too far away from the farm to know where food comes from”

I had a coworker who thought peanuts grew on trees.

“Duh, it’s a nut isn’t it?”

You don’t need to be near a church to figure out right from wrong, and given the state of churches these days in most of the western world, you’re better off not being near one, especially if you’re a vulnerable young person whose parents aren’t all that interested.

I agree with that.

After a week of dealing with the technologically challenged in corporate land, going at least 48 hours without seeing another person is a taste of nirvana.

Spouse and the best GSD excepted.

Being well educated is no longer seen as valuable.

Imagination and curiosity has been beaten out of several generations.

People believe is Syria gas its own people after Trump decides to pull out.

People believe that voting for RINOs will make a change.

People believe in Global Warming while they spray the sky to block the sun with clouds and screw with the weather.

People believe that Hillary Clinton is a good leader.

People believe Bill Clinton and his friends the Bushes were good Presidents.

4. People have gotten too far away from the Constitution to know what freedom and responsibility means.

Thank you, that’s what I’m looking for. My mind is no longer quick and I believe in Freepers. I think they collectively can come up with more “too far away” examples.

I never understood the people who compared The Won to President Camacho.

They were very different.

President Camacho at least loved his country enough to work with Not Sure and start fixing it.

I want some Big Ass Fries now.

My roommate used to come storming through the house on some days, go into her room, slam the door, and scream “Life sucks!” That was due to dealing with extremely stupid people at work.

I tell the difference now when I am dealing with a humanist or a Christian. Night and day.

Well, I think that Sartre meant that the mere existence of other people (the Other) pinned one into a definition or identity that wasn’t authentic to Self...

(But my husband saw both of your posts and said, “Damn Straight!” :-)

There’s a lot to be said for the value of occasional Solitude.
