I've traveled the Rift Valley and the volcanoes are really impressive...particularly Kilimanjaro.

Have they tried epoxy? Maybe not. But trying several thousand gallons of Super Glue couldn't hurt.

I’ve been curious about the Great Rift Valley for a lot of years. It’s very interesting to learn about.

You cannot stop a geological process because it occurs from deep within the crust of the Earth. Nitwits. You have the legislature pass a law prohibiting it!

My kids dropped a watermelon on the floor and cracked it this morning. They put a piece of duct tape over it thinking I would not notice.

"Hint to reporters: 2.5 cm is a distance, not a rate."
I figure "she" (Hira seems to be a female name from Facebook entries) got distracted but "A rate of 2.5 cm?????" just needed a time period: per minute, hour, year, 1000 years, a million years, etc. but as you note its a useless fact without an associated time period.
I'm betting its more an 2.5 cm per week, Any takers?

Gorilla Glue! We really do not want to go there, next thing you know PETA will get involved then the the whole earth first crowd accusing us of exploiting animals in their natural environment. It would be very bad.
