Bodycam Captures Fatal Police Shootout in Pasadena, Texas
** (Disclaimer: This video content is intended for educational and informational purposes only) ** Police have released dash and body cam video from a shooting, during which an officer fatally shot a suspect who witnesses say opened fire on him during a traffic stop off Southmore Ave. The Pasadena Police Department says the officer attempted to pull over the suspect Thursday afternoon after he ran a stop sign. The suspect did not immediately stop, driving six blocks before coming to a stop on Spooner at the 400 block of Southmore Avenue. On the video, the officer shouts, "stay in the vehicle" and "show me your hands." The situation quickly escalated, according to Assistant Police Chief Josh Bruegger. "He gets out of the vehicle, turns partially so he's facing back towards the officer. At one point his hand reaches down, his right hand behind his back, and then he produces a weapon, brings it up, both hands in a shooting stance parallel to the ground, pointing it at the officer," Bruegger said. "The officer immediately starts firing, and strikes the suspect."

In any event, the guy who pointed the gun at the cop was a dumbass. And now he is a dead dumbass.
Dumb ass shooter. Officer is behind the car door, shooter is wide open. Then he keeps shooting after being shot. Just wonder what his background story was to become suicide by cop.
Good thing the cop was on his toes. When I first saw this I wasn’t sure if it was a joke or not, I mean how stupid can someone be, and in that split second of confusion if I was that cop thinking like that I probably would have been dead. Doubtful the perp would have shot him as it definitely looks like suicide by cop to me, but you can’t take that chance. He pulled the gun and the cop obliged him.

The cop is lucky. And a good shot.
The little teeny mic on the body cam wasn't capable of picking the full range of sound from the gun shots unlike the dash cam.

It seemed like he let him wonder around for a long time before finishing him off. Should have gone over and kicked the gun aside.
Pretty good control for the officer, given the sudden rush of a pint of adrenaline.

The cop ducked behind is car as the shooter got out of his. He still had his gun and fired another shot before the cop shot him. Did you see that other car that stopped as the shooting started? It backed the f away and got the h out of there.
“Suicide by cop?”
It may not have started that way but it certainly ended that way.
This was a justifiable shooting no matter how you slice it.
What’s interesting is that when all this is going down, you see this guy on the left in a blue sweatshirt and baseball hat walking up the street and he doesn’t even flinch, doesn’t even look. Then when it switches to the cops camera on his shirt, at the 1:13 mark the guy is still moseying right all long as if he didn’t even hear the shots! There’s a gun fight going on and he’s completely oblivious to it LOL!
The victim needs to bring a lawsuit against the police department the county the state the city for violating his civil rights his family said he was turning his life around he was planning to go to college and become a doctor
It is amazing to see that pedestrian still walking (I like your word “moseying”) along as though nothing is happening. If I was him, I would hit the ground fast or run like hell to get away.
Well, there aren’t many cop haters.
I do not think I have seen more than two or three in all my years at Free Republic.

It’s a heavily Hispanic area of town.
The guy walking probably had headphones on, and didn’t realize what was going on.
The car that backed up knew exactly.whar was happening and noped all the way out of there.
The dude was either having a really bad day or had a death wish. Sheesh
