Antler animal rights protest, Toronto, Canada. (Image via Twitter.) --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Animal rights activists were in for a grisly surprise over the weekend when protesters in front of a popular Toronto restaurant were treated to a live demonstration on how to properly butcher the hind quarter of a deer.
Chef Michael Hunter is co-owner of Antler, a restaurant that serves "local seasonal and wild foods" that are native to Canada, "such as bison, boar, rabbit, duck and deer." When vegan protesters returned to his restaurant for the fourth time in recent days with signs bearing messages like "animals are not ours to use," "killing and eating animals is horrifying" and "MURDER," Hunter decided to conduct a little protest of his own.
I can’t understand lunatics that behave that way.
I have seen the PETA folks wearing leather. Where do they think the hides came from.
They probably eat fish and other meats.
Doofus to the nth degree.
Vegans are water hogs and exploit tropical populations with their demands for bananas. (Walmart sells more bananas than any other product.) Eat meat!
Apparently animals are ours to use!
Outstanding. You’re the kind of person i’d like to have a beer with.

I used to drink a lot of that stuff my dad’s friend made back in the mountains...
We can have a “virtual” beer together though...
CHEERS!!!
*clink* ;)
Good times.
Here’s another little story for you...
We used to bear hunt in Canada twice a year...
Once a Canadian writer for an outdoor magazine joined us to write about Tennessee hunting dogs...
We were sitting around sipping rye whisky and he asked if we had any Tennessee moonshine...
I went and got a jar...I poured him about an inch in a glass...He said, “Aw hell...Give me a real drink...”
Well, after he’d drank about a glass full, he sid he had to pee and went the door to the porch...
Now as long as you sit still, moonshine doesn’t hit you very fast, but when you move around, it comes on...
We forgot about him and went on talking...
The next morning I went out to get the dogs ready and found him under porch still asleep...he’d fell off the porch and just rolled over and went sleep...LOL
More accurate title: Liberals protest in front of butcher.
CLASSIC.
Love white lightnin’ stories... =D
I may have a couple. ;)

Great!!!
Jacksonville,FL...1992. X)
Tried to get back to the ship, made it halfway up the gangway, and projectile....yeah.
Fell over the side right between the ship and pier. I heard it was quite the comedy. Got myself a whole lot of shots (not liquor) the next day. My sweet, romantic teenage nights....

LOL!!!
I was stationed at Mayport 1970-71...
I had a friend who used to sell a lot of it..
The police came to his house one night with a search warrant...
He had an old upright piano that he’d gutted and kept about 20 gallons in side it...
The cops searched all around and said they didn’t find anything and got ready to go...
His little 6 year old daughter said to the cops, “You didn’t look behind the piano...”
They did then....LOL
Awesome. X)
This is why i love FreeRepublic.

My son got me too, only not quite so bad....
A bunch of us that hunted together got together for a cookout...Most of us got wasted pretty good...
The next morning when I got up, I saw a jar of ‘shine I kept next to couch to sip on....
Kinda hungover, I told my wife I saw the devil come outta that jar...
A few months later we were at Red Lobster with a few from church, the preacher and his wife...
Things got a little quiet until my son said “Guess what??? My daddy saw the devil come out his jar of moonshine!!!”
Yep. As a father i can state, every bit of that story checks out.

Yep...Kids....
Well, I’m gonna head out...Great talking with you...Have a good ‘un...
