People were not waiting all night to tune in for that Stormy Daniels interview! LOL
Surely, you jest...politics will keep the show lively..as long as it isn't in every line.
Trump supporter beats Stormy Daniels...
Film at 11.
“hopefully there won’t be too much politics for the rest of the season.
I watched an interview with Lecy G. who plays Becky. She said only the first couple episodes get much into politics. After that, not so much.
The writers did good....showing how families cope with taking different sides. I’ve seen it in so many families. My mother voted for every Dem that lived because she lived in the FDR era. She knew ZIP about politics. I asked her if you think abortion is murder and a sin, why do you still vote for Dems. Went right over her head. Still thought she was voting for FDR. She was born 1917 and lived to be 90.
Would certainly be ironic if this show made money causing more pro Trump personalities on tv.
I watched both episodes and they were done very well. They had SOME politics but not a lot...and I am thrilled Roseanne supports Trump. One thing though, it really made me miss Last Man Standing.. BRING IT BACK!
I have noted that crowds tend to gather at the scene of an accident.
The show started off pretty slow for me but it started getting better..I will continue watching it is funny and that is what needs to be on television for a change funny..Love the whole cast even Jackie I JUST HOPE IT CONTINUES TO BE FUNNY AND LIKE OTHERS LEAVE THE POLITICS OUT..Roseanne is a true comedian very good..I LOVE SHE IS A Trump supporter and not afraid to say so..
Q: What is “politics”?
A: What happens when you have two or more people in the same room.
I disagree with you. I only watched it in anticipation of some political jokes. They did not disappoint me. The jokes were funny, and I understood them. I have not been a Roseann fan for many years due to the National Anthem scandal, but I gave her a chance due to her support for Trump. I did not know what to expect, but I enjoyed the show. I normally don’t like sitcoms that much, so if they stop the political jokes, I will probably stop watching.
Will it last as long as “Last Man Standing”?
Will Tim Allen make a cameo?
The latest revival of Will and Grace is all about attacking Republicans openly and traditional lifestyles. Politics creeps into all show dialogues, even a show like the X-Files, attacking Trump. Every talk show, like Ellen and Kimmel, spends time each day spreading hate for Trump.
But now they are "concerned".
I guess I’m in the minority here, but the politics is what made the first episode funny.
The second episode, about the cross-dressing grandkid and the surrogate daughter, not so much.
Without the politics, I won’t be watching.
My wife and I watched it. First, I was reminded just how old I have gotten. Whoa!
After it ended, my wife asked what I thought. I told her I needed some time to decide.

This article better sums up my thoughts on it.
I kept waiting for them to make conservatives look stupid (the Conners). They also had the gay kid (maybe not gay we are not sure but likes to wear feminine clothes?). It was refreshing to see that, while they certainly injected politics right in the plot and in your face, it decidedly represented the conservative/light point of view. It came across as “normal” or more realistic perspective on politics in the average middle class American home.
For most FReepers, like me, it wasn’t as conservative and aggressive as we would have liked. But the first episode leaned right. And the liberal bent was presented as wacky.
In the end, I told my wife that I liked it and we could watch again. In fact, I support it. My hesitation is that the left will go nuts and not see how “wacky” the liberals are portrayed in the show. They will only be angry that the Conners are shown as evil, baby eating, racist, sexist, homophobic bigots that they OBVIOUSLY must be. After all, they voted for Trump.
I encourage FReepers watch it if for no other reason to show support for conservative ideals being represented.
BTW - I did not know that Roseanne Bar was a Trump supporter. I never got over the National Anthem deal. I have to open my mind a bit, I suppose.
She did a great job. The rest of the cast did as well.
The political stuff is what played out across the entire country. People can relate.
I laughed out loud a couple of times. And that doesn’t happen watching TV too often these days.
The next few episodes will tell you whether or not its back or just a nice stroll down memory lane.
I couldn’t find a current post to comment on, after the show. I thought it was hysterical! The cross-dressing kid ain’t a transgender, he just “likes colors that pop.” I was ecstatic about that. Kids dressing weird is so common. Nowadays, they’ve found a new way to get attention.
