.
Politically correct language is very offensive, and should be banned.
Improper use of the word “gender” is especially offensive, as are biologically incorrect pronouns.
We need an act of congress !!!!!
.
Not just “Offensive words” but “Graphical violence”.
What about shoot and kill, stab and kill, run over and kill (GTA)—all in very graphic details—video games, that Xbox runs and Microsoft sells?
Wondering if they’ll ban themselves?
The door on the iron cage of modernity is being closed.
“Would Microsoft be violating HIPAA provisions?”
Someone would have to agree to the ToS in order to use the software. They would be responsible, not Microsoft, IMO
They literally want 24/7 surveillance of everyone.
The movement to #CancelGoogle #CancelTwitter #CancelMostInternet is coming right on the heels of #CancelFacebook.
And when are they going to get it off TV? Along with all the perversion shows.
Good luck with that. Skype is a sewer where people go to avoid giving out their phone number to chat partners. Why do you think they do that? LOL.
I thought I was the only one! Lol. The old history books especially.
How many XBox games have offensive or inappropriate language? They might as well close down XBox.
Microsoft Office? How are they going to go through that?!!
/s
Does this mean they’re actually following Godly principles, or do they also want to ban such words and phrases as “guns”, “conservative” and “God bless the USA?”
What is public about private documents written on Office? Sure, it is their software but something filed on your computer’s documents isn’t usually for public consumption.
Guess we’re learning a hard lesson that no software is private. Between the cloud, google, Microsoft and NSA, all our thoughts are spied upon.
Dayum nit!
I do everything I can to avoid MSFT completely. I run Win 7 on my home computer and if it weren’t for some of the application programs I need, would dump Windows for Linux in a heartbeat.
Cortana is a busybody. No thanks. Smart home? No, I’m proud to have a dumb home. No Alexa or smart TV here. The Internet of Things is banned here. Connecting my refrigerator to the Internet? Why? Although connecting my garbage disposal might work :)

Thanks for the ping dayglored.
“So wait a sec: I cant use Skype to have an adult video call with my girlfriend?” -— where exactly does it say anything like that in the TOS... oh right it doesn’t, the TOS covers public communication and only if someone complains about it. This article is a stretch and trying to make a mountain out of a mole hill.
Depositions involving a patient’s health and medical conditions are often conducted over Skype. Words pertaining to private parts could be spoken.
I am pretty sure that Microsoft monitoring them would be a HIPAA violation.
Likely M$ will be sued over that.
