I remember a monstrosity like that fat-assed, butt ugly ratchet when I was in high school. She went after a small Japanese-American girl who was like 1/4 the size of the ratchet.

What is it in their DNA that makes them act that way. Racist? Perhaps, but historically review stories like this and it turns out the same. I just don’t understand the trigger mechanism that makes them react this way rather than in a manner that reflects some rational thought process.

They originated in a place where climate is warm almost all year round. Motion generates heat, which is not adaptive, so they develop a fairly laid-back sort of metabolism.
