I wasn’t quite seven years old, when I sat up with my Daddy to see JFK elected. The whole process, as I watched it on the television, fascinated me; and it was the beginning of my interest in politics.

(However, I wouldn’t trust that everything you find on Twitter is true...)

I was fascinated, too....when my dad sat me down and told me about Joe the Bootlegger. Same year he told me..."Don't believe everything you read".

JFK was running at the time.

I was in a Catholic School and we were all bussed to see this pretty boy.

When I was 7 or so years old, I remember one time my Grandma jokingly said to me, “Let’s talk politics”. I remember being a bit confused and think politics was something bad. Little did I know how close I was to the truth.

We had a board game called “Politics” around that time where you put pins in a map that you earned by answering questions.

NY had 45 electoral votes and California 32 back then....
