Andrew McCabes estimated $1.8 million pension was reportedly lost forever when he was fired. As it turns out, he may just have to wait awhilebut that amount may ultimately be substantially diminished.
According to George Washington University Law Professor Jonathan Turley, McCabes firing late Friday night merely means the former deputy FBI director lost access to early pension recovery at age 50.
The standard federal retirement period begins at age 57. Turley notes that under the Federal Employees Retirement System (FERS), benefits vest after five years of federal service. McCabes benefits, therefore, were not totally lost when he was fired for cause over alleged media leaksand consequently allegedly lying to federal investigators about those leaks.

Not only that, but under FERS the bulk of his retirement income would come from his Thrift Savings Program account, which after 20+ years should be nice and fat. That money is his, not the government’s.
If he does not end up in prison then justice was not served.
Kinda. Only from a specific list of felonies in 5 US Code 8312:

The house always wins.
Everyone knew this but waiting 7 years is not fun.
No, youre wrong. There were a ton of articles and columns saying he would lose his pension. Thats because the source for all of them was the Dim liars wanting to generate sympathy for McCabe. Many people believed it.
All one had to do is go to the OPM site and read the pension rules. Too much work (research) for the average reporter.
My little Porch is attached to my house. It has no wheels. Or engine.
Lol, mine too!
Somehow I dont think McCabes anger is based on losing his pension (if he even does). He wont be destitute by any stretch.
McCabe is worried about something MUCH larger...
Yes, but when did our Republic acquire "a house"?
I'm thinking it acquired "a house" in the decades preceding the civil war. In fact, it was an attempt to get out of "the house" that caused the civil war.
Lets not delude ourselves. America is ruled by the Five Cities, Boston, New York, Washington, Chicago, and Hollywood. The rest of us just pay taxes. The heart of the beast is New York, the Ivies being its nursery and Washington its storefront.
Where’s the advantage? Most Fed employees get 1% of their highest three years salary for every year they put in. So, to get that “only 50%” you claim is so horrible, a civilian FedGov employee would have to work nearly 50 years. Why not educate yourself before posting inanities.

Democrats.
It’s all about the Democrats.
Including, ahem, some Ds in R clothing.
Yes, everyone knows that govt employees cannot lose a pension. The people that pay for their pensions, however, often don’t have one at all. At the same time, they wonder why we are disgusted by them!
The military 50% at 20 is on “base pay” only. Numerous military types whether officer or NCO, get maxed out on pay at mid paygrades like E-6, 7, and officers who are O-3,4.
Now lets look at this 1% per year and let’s be truthful about GS12 or so types with 30 years. Try about 56.25 and 42 years would yield 80% or more. Lets look at TSP and FEHB. Tell me that the military Tricare beats the non Obamacare plans that every Congress critter gets, too. My BIL left as a GS 14 to be VP of a major aerospace Corp. He owns his own defense contracting Corp. Men I served with, like a fellow CPT, retired from the CIA 6-8 years back. He was head of South America. He had well over 40 as he was medically retired due to wounds. I knew an SF Major who went to the State Dept in Vietnam. He was head of I Corps in Vietnam. He is so poor.
Every time a conservative runs for a position of power, the Uni-Party torpedoes them, in the manner they did to McDaniel and later to Moore.
The Uni-Party keeps the Washington DC money spigot going, and all other issues are just window dressing for keeping that Washington DC spending party alive.
I agree.
The media repeated this lie often for the sole reason of attempting to falsely portray Trump as “mean”.
This is what the hate filled anti-Trump media does, get used to it.
Board meetings with Directors decide what is given to the higher executives as compensation. It is very naive to believe we have any say in the matter.
Federal pay at the highest grades are a pittance compared to the tens or hundreds of millions the CEOs are paid even if their jobs are equal in responsibility and difficulty. Supervisors in government supervise far more employees than in the private sector.
Be aware that if the more prized jobs (jobs that are competed for) have their salaries reduced so will everyone else.
I note your interest in Mississippi & Alabama politics.
This has lead to some speculation that DiogenesLamp may not be quite as Northern as you previously claimed.
Myself, I have no particular knowledge or interest in Deep South politics beyond hoping & praying that the good citizens of those states will elect representatives who reliably support President Trump’s agenda.
I assume that is also DiogenesLamp’s goal, right?
Had you been reading my writing on subjects other than the civil war for the last several years, you would have noticed that my interest in the politics of various states depended upon where the battle was being waged at any given time. I opined quite a lot on the battle between Lisa Murkowski and Joe Miller. (Once again a Cartel influenced the outcome of a Federal election) When Wisconsin was stealing the election from Norm Coleman, I raged about that. When the establishment was attacking Sharon Angle, (Nevada), I pointed out how they always attack conservatives. Same thing with Christine O'Donnell (Delaware) who got a completely raw deal from "our" side.
You think I have a particular focus on Mississippi and Alabama, but in fact they are only the most recent examples of "our" side trying to backstab the conservative candidate, and they are also perhaps the most egregious examples I have ever seen of the establishment following a scorched earth policy against reform candidates.
But you may believe as you like.
