I don't think it's just pity. I think as the Swedish population ages into retirement, and didn't have enough replacement children to work hard, pay taxes, and fund their health care, the government decided they needed migrants to come in, work hard, be grateful for the pay and the opportunity, and willingly pay the taxes to fund the social programs of the older, declining white population.

Turns out, Muslims from the Middle East don't think they should work to pay for dhimmis, but that dhimmis should be serving them. So this is what you get when two entitled groups try to exploit each other.

That is true and another reason is Swedes are too proud to admit they made a blunder in accepting Muslim refugees. Swedes have a long history of giving asylums to people in distress. That worked OK until the Muslims got on the bandwagon.

Liberalism/Abortion and war has led to a people drought so thus the answer was to import them. It seems the answer is a bigger problem.

You're correct. As a former Leftist I can attest to the fact to what you said. “So this is what you get when two entitled groups try to exploit each other’’. Leftists always make the mistake in thinking that whatever group of ‘’victims’’ they're fronting for will never get tired and resentful of being portrayed as victims by a bunch of condescending , over entitled, preening hypocrites or having been exalted as the poor downtrodden suddenly turn, sometimes violently , on their benefactors.
