You're correct. As a former Leftist I can attest to the fact to what you said. “So this is what you get when two entitled groups try to exploit each other’’. Leftists always make the mistake in thinking that whatever group of ‘’victims’’ they're fronting for will never get tired and resentful of being portrayed as victims by a bunch of condescending , over entitled, preening hypocrites or having been exalted as the poor downtrodden suddenly turn, sometimes violently , on their benefactors.

They are particularly prone to turning on their benefactors, I suspect, once they realize that their benefactors expected lifelong obedience in return for their patronizing.
