After 24 years any mystery surrounding the murders of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman is over ... because O.J. Simpson confessed.
Fox aired "O.J. Simpson: The Lost Confession?" Sunday night and Simpson walked author Judith Regan through what happened on June 12, 1994. He starts out adamant -- he was just talking hypothetically, which is weird, because if he didn't do it what's his basis for creating the hypothetical.
Simpson starts by talking about his "friend Charlie" ... whom he says for some reason went to Nicole's to snoop around. He says Charlie came over to Simpson's home, told him what was going on and Simpson responded, "Whatever is going on it's gotta stop!" Unfortunately, Regan didn't ask Simpson what Charlie said was going on.
Simpson says, hypothetically, he and Charlie drove to Nicole's with a cap, gloves and a knife under the seat and parked in the alley. Simpson says he walked around the property and Ron Goldman appeared, saying he was at the restaurant where Nicole dined and was returning the sunglasses her mom left behind.

Yaelle, you need to understand the concept of those tapes. He was working with a female screen writer (someone he ended up having a relationship with) and he was giving her the kind of language he thought she was looking for in her screenplay.
It was role-playing. Those tapes aren’t a confession of guilt or anything even close to it. If you go to the link it describes the content of the tapes as a fictional character role playing.
Fact is, yeah, it made it easy for them. But they would have brought the tapes into play no matter whether he said he didn’t or couldn’t remember.
He regretted even making those tapes, but when he did it he was doing it for a movie screenplay.
Omg that is the funniest meme ever.
Amazing. Marcia and Darden, honest disbelief. Oh cannot believe he got away. And very telling, Kardashian more disbelief than Darden and Clark! Excellent collection of shots.
Check out the Kardashian expression in etls photo above. He knew damn well his best buddy OJ was guilty. While he stood by his side the whole trial (protecting his own ass under atty client privilege), he as a Christian was probably hoping at the end that actual justice would be served. Look at that face. He cant hide his stunned upset that OJ gets off.
Furhman also told Marsha Clark about the thumb print. I guess she ignored it because the two hot shot detectives ignored it.
I have always wondered what happened to the blood missing from the vial. The old man on oxygen who took the sample said under oath in a video deposition that he must have made a mistake and recorded the amount wrong. Then he said he’d never made that mistake before.
I believe Lange and Vanatter did try to manufacture some evidence. For instance, the blood was put on the sock when there was no foot in it. Probably to make up for washing off the thumb print.
This case was bungled from the start
It is true you remember where you were when that bronco chase was happening. I was only a few miles north, eating Popeye chicken with my dad while OJ headed home in the slow chase.
And that trial lasted at least a year, right? It permeated even the preschoolers. My son was 3 and he knew all the Simsims (his pronunciation of the Simpsons): Homer, Lisa, Marge, Bart, and OJ. He also liked eating burgers at fries at a local chain Johnny Cochrans. (Johnny Rockets).
Thanks for reminding me. I have read some of his crime books and they were not bad, though not sure he was right about the Skakel guy, cant figure that crime out.
Yep. Charlie Foxtrot which laid the ground for a bunch of high-powered, race-baiting attorneys to exploit, which they did.
Sad.
I dunno. Should have.
Kato knows what happened. End of story.
Fact.
Also venned by timeline into the rise and fall in disgrace of Tigger Woods.
You know, I wonder about that. There was this psycho in the Midwest who killed a young woman, and took pics of the denouement -- but those were discovered after acquittal. So with dj blocking the retry, instead they got him on perjury charges before the grand jury. He did 11, then died not too long after when he fell into a glass coffee table and bled out.
Indeed! Sum Ting Wong was epic also, but this was even better because it made a fool of the ass Peter Jennings in front of a national audience.
That is where I was. MP Company there.
I was the BAS medic for a basic training battery there.
I actually enjoyed my time in Lawton/Ft Sill. Except for the Mt. Scott runs.
I did like the area, used to drive either up to OKC or down to Wichita Falls on the weekends, the duty was kind of crappy dealing with all the Privates faking injuries or illness to get out of training LOL. I remember all the DS threating to send them to CCF. My favorite duty station was either Drum (in the summer) or Ft. Lewis. I liked USMA because it was 15 mins from where I grew up in NY. I ETS’d from there.
