The Church of Scientology is getting its own TV network. The controversial group, headed by David Miscavige, is poised to launch a channel on DirectTV and platforms Apple TV and Roku on Monday, March 12. Evidence of the network is already on Apple's app store, where "Scientology TV" is available for download from The Church of Scientology International. Running the app reveals a placeholder announcement that content will officially launch at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. P.T. There's also a newly launched Twitter account, with first updates coming early Sunday morning, pointing to a website that doesn't yet appear to be up and running. Request for comment from the Church of Scientology was not immediately returned, but a DirecTV spokesperson confirmed the Monday launch. A promo video indicates the network will occupy the satellite service's channel 320 (currently infomercials.)

What a monumental waste of parishioners’ money. Miscavige has so destroyed what little good will there was for the church, that this effort will come to nought.
If he were a normal person, instead of a sociopathic despot, he would do whatever it took to repair the church’s dismal relations with the broad pubic. That awful reputation is firmly embedded in the public’s mind, and will not be changed by a bunch of slick tv shows.
All they can hope for is young skulls full of mush.

This is their brilliant countermove to address the truth of Leah Remini’s series exposing Scientology.
And it won’t even be anything useful because anything useful for people wanting to be in Scientology, they make you pay a tom of money for. You cant do any courses via tv and you cant do emeter auditing through tv. So the garbage they put on there will be propaganda bs and promo videos that really don’t have any substance behind them. Just PR crapola.
Maybe in twenty years they can start a YouTube channel.

That might have been a reasonable hope in earlier times, but today's youth are glued to their iPhones, and look up everything on YouTube.
The church's membership is dropping like a stone. Formerly dedicated staff and parishioners are quietly slipping out the back door in increasing numbers, and they're not being replaced by new converts.
Take a tour of one of their orgs sometime. They're practically devoid of people. Idle morgues.
