Well harsh is a relative term :) Whatever drug the judges were on last week seems to be out of their systems now. They're still too generous with their praise, and they seem to confuse being a judge with being a coach. But they did use to word "pitchy" last night so they're making progress.
We'll know something is wrong if he shows up one night wearing a pair MC Hammer's pants.

I was gonna stay up last night and get to the thread but I didn’t. First I had to watch the Kings heartbreakingly lose at home. Then I had intended to check out the ACM awards and just when I was dancing alone in the darkened family room to “Rich” by Maren Morris (yes, acting it out, what can I say), my oldest came in with the first episode of BGT and I had to make a quick decision. So I went with him, feeling a desperate desire for some Simon Cowell judging.* I will put on last nights AI before dinner time so we will be ready for thread time when 2nd one airs tonight.
*It is really good to see Simon. I think this might be the only on camera show he does any more. He never married, not sure that makes any difference RE financials in England. The other male judge is a bi comedian, who has divorced his woman wife, and seems more gay than ever before. But he is HILARIOUS. The two female judges are not bad; they a’ight. I recommend it if you can find it online. Sometimes I do need subtitles. Some of those upper UK accents... I can’t. I cahnt.
And if you get a comedian who loves to spoof famous Brit tv personalities, you will have the funny experience of being left completely in the dark hearing some impression of someone and watching the audience and the judges weeping in hysterics, and you’re all “who’s Robert jones? what about his leg?”
Clearly MC Hammer wore depends.
