Eight years into our marriage, sitting in a therapist’s office with my husband, I mustered all my courage and said my deepest, darkest truth: “When we have sex, I feel like I’m being violated.” The unwanted sex at times made me sick: Once I had to run straight from bed to the bathroom, where I retched into the toilet. I feel sorry for both her and her husband. Why would a person like this marry a man, and why would she stay with a man who was so far from whatever it is she is looking for and continue for years when she would not "let him kiss" her? Why would her husband stay with a cold and malicious witch long enough for reading a novel to become a habit of hers?
