Masked thugs invaded a talk organised by a university free speech society last night before setting off smoke bombs and attacking security guards.
The self-proclaimed 'antifascist' protesters forced their way into the King’s College London lecture hall and grabbed the speakers' microphones before smashing windows and leaving notes threatening the moderator.
Several security guards were punched and had to go to hospital, according to the organisers, who were forced to evacuate the building and call the police.

Back in the day when America was still America (or England was still England) the headline would read “violent punks severely beaten by security guards”.
Back in the day sixty years ago in high school I had a good friend, brilliant guy, who used to admonish the rest of us regularly to “keep the barbarians from the gates” - he died young tragically, but if he could see what’s going on today he’d be heartbroken, but probably not surprised....
You know what you do with bullies???
The problem lies with the sheep who are in attendance that allow the fascists to act out their insecurities. Mass retribution on these thugs and beat downs would put an end to this silliness..........

And here I thought Gilbert and Sullivan was supposed to be comedy, not documentary.
