The Academy Awards celebrate the best and brightest talents in Hollywood, from on-screen stars to costume creators to musical geniuses.
However when it comes fashion, the red carpet not only plays host to some of the award season's most successful moments, it also serves as a backdrop for some of the year's most awkward sartorial failures.
At this year's Oscars, it was Olympic skiing star Lindsey Vonn, 33, who led the charge as far as worst-dressed celebrities, totally missing the mark in a gothic black lace dress, which featured awkward cut-outs at the knee, as well as some bizarre tassel embellishments that did little to elevate her look.

That's because Carolyn Jones was frikken beautiful. i especially like the "Betty Davis Eyes" on that girl. Lindsey Vonn is pretty, but she isn't Carolyn Jones.
I could care less if she wore a burlap sack or Vera Wang. At least she wasn't all flesh and fantasy. Frankly, with the Olympics over, unless she gets a gig with MSNBC we may never see much of her again.

Just a few comments.....Whoopi looks like her dress is made out of the dining room curtains......I have never heard of most of the women singled out in this article.....Rashida Jones looks the best of this lot.....Monica Lewinsky doesn’t look too bad for her age and her dress isn’t appalling. Didn’t watch, don’t much care about a room full of narcissists, voting for and then applauding other narcissists.
Like Megan. Looks OK, but not spectacular. Then gets dressed up in very elegant clothes with a hairstyle and attitude that are deliberately ugly.
She’s a filthy whore and her groin resembles an Arby’s Roast Beef sandwich, according to FReepers in the know.
Wow.
Whatever you might think about her, she is an attractive young woman.
And in that photo she looks absolutely hideous.
