I thought he had already taken the black limousine to that big studio in the sky. Ogden always seemed like one of those actors who was too good for TV, too well trained and dignified.
That impression was probably just an act also.

RIP

I know him more from “The Dead Zone” TV series and a guest appearance on “Star Trek: TNG”, where I believe he was dating Luxwanna Troi but had to commit suicide because of idiotic cultural reasons.

Ultimate 80’s movie dad in Better Off Dead.

The most under appreciated teen film of the era.

Nothing like a thread where a mod has run amok to remind me of why there are issues with fundraising.

Once I detected the bold and frequent anti-American military theme to the TV show, I never watched it again.

Did some great bits in shows other than M*A*S*H too - maybe Frasier's daddy on that program and the wise and wily mayor in the movie "Doc Hollywood".....

My version of hell would have been to spend time living in “The Swamp”.
B.J. Hunnicutt and Alan Alda, puzzling over which country is more moral, gulag North Korea, or The United States. All the while, Winchester trying to sneak into my bunk.

Dare I mention a stellar performance on Frasier as a gay man? In a very funny episode where Eddie, the dog, stole the show.

As the Christmas song says...I know it’s been said many time, many ways...but I’ll say again...I do not care if someone is gay, I object to having to be happy about it.

Dying from bladder cancer is actually not common. It must have been going on for years before they caught it. It is very slow growing.

He was a good actor.

I don’t care that he was gay. He wasn’t the in your face, over the top type. It was a part of who he was but not his whole identity like a lot of gay actors.

Okay. The man was a very fine actor, and he was gay.

And he’s dead from an awful disease. I am disappointed that the mods have had to zorch so many comments on this thread.

I thought FR had more class than that.
