Listen up, Mary J. Blige, Diane Warren, and all the other artists nominated for best original song this year. One of you will win the award. And to save you the trouble, I

“Skyfall” won best song for a Bond film in addition to the bad Sam Smith song for “Spectre.”
Another good one was Chris Cornell’s “You Know My Name” from “Casino Royale.”
In 2002, Randy Newman got best original song for “If I didn’t Have You,” which is mediocre, to be generous. But in 2000, he lost despite having a really great song, “When She loved Me.” It looks like the Academy sometimes makes its decisions by taking into account prior bad decisions.
I like the themes from:
Nicholas and Alexandra
Valley Of The Dolls
Ice Castles
Vomit inducing:
Theme from Love Story
shhh... PC is my guilty pleasure.
Only if you ignore quality and quantity.
I thought “Goldfinger” by Shirley Bassey was excellent too. Unsure how she spelled her name.
Did the “Chariots Of Fire” theme not win? It was really good.
How about “Lara’s Theme” from “Dr. Zhivago”. Did it not win either. It was about the best ever.
Mon River - one of the best songs ever!!
Music is mostly subjective. I actually think they way we were is pretty good song, but I get why it could be considered syrup.

Randy Newman’s work on “The Natural” was really good as well. I wonder if that earned a nomination at least. One reason why “The Natural” is one of my favourite sports flicks, lol.
Of all time, the best song in a movie is Whitney Houston
I LOVE THE LORD
My favourites are “All Time High” from 1983’s “Octopussy”, “You Only Live Twice”, and “On Her Majesty’s Secret Service”.
Maria’s voice still sounds great. She has always been so underrated and under appreciated.
Always liked
The Poseidon Adventure
“The Morning After”
You left out the theme from “The Big Country” 1959.
What about Sinatra’s “One for my Baby” By Johnny Mercer and Harold Arlen, the movie “Young at Heart”????
Victoria Principle in 1978......hubba hubba, I drool at the memory.
