Britain flooded with super-strength cannabis which could be driving mental health problems

Nearly all cannabis on Britain’s streets is now super-strength skunk that could be fueling the rise in mental health problems, scientists have warned.

Researchers at King’s College London tested almost 1,000 police seizures from Kent, Derbyshire, Merseyside, Sussex and the capital in 2016, and found 94 percent were of a dangerously high potency.

In 2005, just 51 percent of cannabis sold on the street was sinsemilla, also known as skunk.

Dr. Marta Di Forti, Medical Research Council Clinician Scientist at King’s College warned that the powerful drug placed Britain’s 2.1 million cannabis users at risk of schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, psychosis, delusions and hallucinations. […]

The researchers also found that in normal cannabis resin, the average concentration of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) — the main psychoactive component — had risen by 50 percent since 2005, from four percent to six percent. In contrast, the ratio of antipsychotic cannabidiol (CBD), which helps mitigate the drug’s psychoactive effects, had fallen dramatically.

Skunk has around 14 percent THC, and is more dangerous because it contains very small amount of CBD. …

If you make your own, soy or sunflower lecithin is the key that makes them dispensary quality. I prefer rice crispy treats, as they never go over 240 degrees, which is decarb temp. I can get a gram of concentrate and make a batch (of 16) for less than they charge for 2.

My buddy was on pain management and doctors told him to plan to be for life.. Had a bunch of pins in one foot and both ankles. He went to the doctor just as our medical program was starting, told him this oxy crap is killing me and I am about to lose a job I have had for 15 years now. Doctor told him he could try to get him a card, he was one of the first 1000 issued, started out with oral tincture (which also got his 85 year old grandmother up out of her wheelchair again) and now nothing but a few cookies when he gets home from work and he is done for the evening. He sleeps through the night and goes to the same job every day since, by Az. law had to be off pain management from that day on.

She tried her first one last year, planted outside, Beginners luck, it grew into a solid 8’ diameter ball, biggest plant I have ever seen, Looked like weed wars on TV. Stalk coming out of the ground had to be 3” in diameter. She got 14# off her Bubba Kush girl.

And this is why you don’t take Deep State propaganda at face value.

And interesting the other way around as well. For chronic pain relief and for cancers, you want CBD, with a tiny bit of thc, even for children. 3:1 (CBD:THC) is good for chronic pain relief.

Even meth won’t send you to the funny farm these days.

We don’t institutionalize mentally deranged people anymore. We give them pills which they sometimes don’t take or that they augment with recreational drugs and then eventually go on a shooting rampage, axe attack, or drive into a crowd.

It would be good if criminally insane people were locked up instead of giving them psychotropics that make them pass for normal (until they malfunction in a major way). Our shooting rampage incidents were avoidable and it doesn’t require banning guns. Lock up the crazies instead. If they are unanswerable for their actions by reason of insanity, then they should require a legal guardian accompany them at all times.

My landlord neighbor has terrible back pain and the edibles enable him to get out and drive his motorcycle
His wife is on oxygen and the little 5-10 mg gummies totally have changed her outlook on life
The key is to understand that the plant itself Cannibis is magic
That’s why you can even smoke it and get effects
Of course that ain’t it in this NEW ERA

“” “” If cannabis causes you mental health problems you already had mental health problems.”” “”

It causes. Never met a frequent user who aren’t somehow demented.

Agree. The most common sign of marijuana induced brain damage is what I call the “5 second delay.” That’s how long it takes a doper to understand your words and try to respond. Permanent slur and inability to pronounce words is another. Once you hit that stage it’s permanent.
