Being lectured to by the bloody Brits about oral hygiene is ludicrous. That’s not who we are! And who said you had to brush multiple times a day? I know people do but I hadn’t heard it was a requirement.

Good grief I grew up having to brush my teeth after every meal, when I got up out of bed and before I went to bed! So that was what? 5 times a day!

My dentist recommends brushing and flossing three times a day.

When I say I'm at work during the day, he says "So why can't you brush and floss in the bathroom?"

I'm a baby boomer. We were never taught to brush multiple times a day. I don't think I was even aware of flossing until the 1970s.

And who are the Brits to be lecturing us about dental hygiene, of all things? They're famous for having the worst teeth in the developed world.

When I was working in an office in Switzerland I noticed that every other woman headed to the bathroom after lunch with their toothbrushes. They brushed three times a day. They had the worst teeth. I did not brush after lunch and I had zero cavities and nice straight teeth.

Brushing teeth surfaces is a fine thing to do, commercial toothpaste is crap and fluoride is toxic. But for true teeth health flossing plays an important part in keeping gums free of bad bacteria, but the most important thing for dental health is diet.

Eating enough minerals and getting enough important animal and seafood fats for vitamin k helps keep strong teeth for life.
