"We're here because my daughter has no voice. She was murdered last week and she was taken from us, shot 9 times on the third floor. We as a country failed our children. This shouldn't happen."- Andrew Pollack, father of Meadow Pollack, who was killed in Florida school shooting last week.

Ok, thanks. He’ll die happily of old age in 2070 and be put in the Charles Manson Mausoleum.
Like you, I also viewed the court images and assessed Cruz. To me, he looked like some lost character with no understanding on how he got there.
If you follow his history, for the entire last decade...he’s been a gamer. They don’t assess the number of hours per week but I’d take a guess a minimum of fifty hours. This past week in jail? It’s probably the first time since he was maybe eight years old....that he wasn’t able to game.
I also think for the past five to ten years....he was on some type of drug prescription to control hyperactivity, ADST and depression. They’ve been careful to avoid mentioning what drugs, but I’ll take a guess that a minimum of two drugs. I think this week in jail is the first period in a decade that he hasn’t been affected by drugs.
Don't go off the deep end now.
Wouldn't him trying to stop and arrest Cruz be considered a violation of the anti school-to-prison pipeline agreement between the Sheriff's Department and the Broward County schools ?
Because the prisons have TONS of FULLY ARMED GUARDS who will shoot you.
I don’t disagree with increasing security at schools. It’s like locking your door to make it harder for burglars to get in. But just like the best security system, no amount of hardening can prevent a madman from creating mayhem, as easily as shooting up a football game or other outdoor event. Do you think it’s feasible to set up a perimeter like the Superbowl and screen everyone who shows up to watch a game on Friday night?
Same guy. He’s going to be on with Chris Wallace on Sunday, I think.
That's ridiculous.
“Does Florida have a death penalty?”
Big time. I was living there when Ted Bundy went to Hell via “Old Sparky”. Guess Old Sparky has been retired amnd replaced with lethal injection.
LOL. Oh.
My memory is terrible! I have no idea which states have it anymore. Thanks.
“Im not 100% sure, but I am betting that Cruz was a dupe.
I alwayas had a feeling that he easily could be a patsy. Collateral damage in the lib war on firearms.
Both a school and an airport beyond security are gun-free zones... The difference is that the airport can back up their declaration with men, guns, and scanning equipment. A school has to rely on the good will of prespective attackers. Is this a sane policy?
Not a chance.
Airports are about as hardened as you can get and there is still a need for armed air marshals and pilots. Think about that - X-ray, millimeter wave and TSA patdowns with an armed security force outside the perimeter and STILL there are armed guards inside.
Does anyone think any school (short of Sidwell Friends) can approach this level of security?
The only solution is to repeal gun-free school zones and establish school-marshals.
Too late. I’m already off the deep end.
I think the odds are about 95% that the Deep State was behind this op.
Note also that the media can’t seem to find any pro 2A citizens to interview. In a country that mostly backs the 2A, doesn’t it strike you as odd that 100% of those interviewed are pleading for more gun control?
Per Debbie WS:
“In the United States of America, it is simply unacceptable that we allow children to run for their lives with their backpacks on.”
I recall seeing live footage of several students having to drop their backpacks as they were fleeing the school under threat of getting shot by the police.
Prisoners have better rights and protection than schoolchildren.
And we call ourselves an ‘advanced’ civilization.
It's all in how you interpret these things.
The First Amendment says "Congress shall make no law" but the courts decided that this means nobody can make a law.
The Second Amendment says the right "shall not be infringed" but the courts decided that a whole of infringing a good idea.
No cruel and unusual punishment? How about this -- every time someone shoots up a school, we put him through a woodchipper? Now, yes, that's cruel. But if we do it in all cases, it wouldn't be unusual it all. It would be the usual thing. So it wouldn't be both "cruel and unusual". It would simply be cruel, and therefore not prohibited.
It all depends on how you want to read the clear words.
Ask yourself these questions:
Have you seen the actual rifle Cruz allegedly used ?
Was it tested to see if it had recently been fired ?
Was Cruz dusted for gunpowder traces?
Why are police saying that the CCTV cameras they were watching were on a 20 minute delay?
Why did Cruz tell police began shooting students that he saw in the hallways and on school grounds, when all the shooting was done inside and not outside ?
Why did one of the witnesses (students) state that she was walking with and talking to CRUZ while the shooting was going on , and that specifically she stated there was another shooter ?
We really need to nail the details WRT D/W/S Cong office assisting Fla and Broward officials to get federal grants.......using those falsified stats.
She’s probably destroying evidence as we type.
Remember, falsifying official documents is the criminal MO to hide larger crimes.
