And, I thank you too.

You do so much to help us keep up to date, and to keep us informed about the truth regarding Apple products, and helping us understand all the FUD stuff the MSM tosses our way.

We really appreciate you, Swordmaker, in more ways than just Apple products. Many of us follow your posts on other very important and timely subjects.

I finally got my MacBook Pro. I saved for it for almost two years. Aside from iPhones and iPads, I have never used OS before. Best decision I ever made..

Ever since I upgraded to Mac OS 10.13.3 High Sierra, my iMac shuts down and restarts at random, by itself while in Sleep mode.

I report to Apple each time it does it (almost daily)but no fix has been forthcoming.

Hi. Did you get the 15-inch Touch version? If so, I'd recommend getting a Charjen USB-C hub. Love mine for connecting other peripherals. Cost me $80, great quality and is compact. There are two versions. Mine sits flush against the side, either side of the MacBook Pro Touch 15-inch. I used a Dremel tool to carve my protective cover on my laptop to allow the hub to continue sitting flush. The other Charjen Pro version uses a cable to attach and flops around, not what I like, but you might. These are far less expensive than the bulky hubs that go for around $200. This small one is easily carried in my laptop bag. Use it for my DVD burner and other USB3 & HDMI devices. Google it.

After 30 years on MS, I jumped to MacOS back in 2013 and will never go back.

I will. I got the 13 inch touch, though. I got it for 200.00 by getting at Best Buy, for 1599 plus AppleCare..I def need to get the disc drive so I can back up all of my movies to the cloud. I got a plastic case for it, too..

I got a Pioneer BDR-XS06 Blu-Ray burner just last week. Light and portable. Figured I might as well try burning high capacity 25GB or higher DVDS because I have a lot of movies. It’s capable of burning quad-layer, although I’ll stick to the cheaper single-layer 25GB blanks. I’ve had no problem burning regular DVDs but have yet to try burning a Blu-Ray. My movies are on hard drives at home. Haven’t thought about storing them on the cloud, currently paying 99 cents a month for 50GB storage for non-movie stuff, convenient for access by all my devices. I use home-share for my devices to access my movies connected to my desktop Mac. Have fun with your MacPro!

My gay pinwheel will just fire up randomly and keep goin and going. Often times I have to force-close Safari and mail and then restart.

My experience too. I also have double contacts show up in my Contacts app. So every time I address an email, I have to delete the second address.

It has some new startup screen after being in Sleep mode, that takes forever to go through to use it in the morning. Instead of Sleep, it looks like it goes into a Deep Freeze mode.

The "clicking" capability of my Mouse has problems too. Double clicking to open a file or folder doesn't work after repeated attempts to open them. Or the "slow" double click on the file name to change it doesn't work half the time either.

I've never been so frustrated with an Apple product as I have had with this new operating system upgrade. In hindsight, I shouldn't have upgraded.

Apple has some bugs to iron out in High Sierra.

Worst Mac OS since I've owned Macs from the mid-80's.
