Good jazz inspired the Blues and other decent genres. Bad jazz inspired hip-hop and other trash. There are those who don’t appreciate the difference between good jazz and awful jazz.
And when a white does start doing ghetto rap, it is then labeled as "cultural appropriation." Damned if you do, damned if you don't.

Our local public library had the loitering problem and put up outdoor speakers at the front entrance. Crowds are down substantially. The only problem is that if I hear something I like and I don’t have SoundHound or Shazam with me there’s nobody on the staff that can tell me exactly what is playing.
As one of my children said “Have you ever noticed Jazz concerts are free?”
I am a classics fan with little bit of Country and Pop. Jazz is a disorganized sound. It messes with our brain in a negative way IMO.
Listen to the andante movement Mozart’s Concerto 21 and educate your brain. Then tell us what you think about Jazz and Mozart.

Probably not, but I’ve recently discovered that several classically trained sopranos are singing lead in heavy metal bands and the result is actually quite spectacular.

The Metropolitan Opera, the Cleveland Orchestra or any world class cultural institution exists because the public pays to enjoy their performances and the money thus generated pays the rent of the facilities and salaries of the musicians. The PUBLIC who consumes the performances WANTS the music of old dead white men. If somebody comes along and disagrees with that premise then I suggest they start their own opera or orchestra and perform whatever works you consider relevant in your world view. Methinks you will go broke posthaste. In the end it’s totally up to the consumer.
The idea is for it to be good ... right?

I don’t have to. Classical is the best genre of music bar none. You can see its influence in every other decent genre out there, including country, pop, spiritual and jazz— when the jazz is performed by a master versus some pretender whom your child is talking about . . . who might as well be tuning up their instrument.
How about letting us know who Jazz master is please?9

The Asians will keep Classical music alive. They live a lifestyle that’s much closer to the way White people used to live than how most White people live today. It’s no wonder they have an appreciation for legitimate “high art”.
I have been looking for this story ever since this morning when I saw it on Twitter and I couldn't find it again.
