After some thought, Adam Rippon has decided to decline the offer of becoming an NBC correspondent for the remainder of the Olympic games in Pyeongchang, South Korea.
Earlier today, it was announced that the figure skater, who has become a prominent highlight of these games, was going to have his hand at commentary. However, he has decided to turn down the offer after he realized he would have to give up his Olympic standing and credential for the position. By joining NBC as a correspondent, he wouldnt be allowed to participate in the closing ceremony.
I am so flattered that NBC wanted me to work as a correspondent, but if I took this opportunity, I would have to leave the Olympic team and I would have to leave the (Olympic) Village, he said in an initial interview with NBCSN (via USA Today). Its so important to me, you know, I worked so hard to be on this Olympic team, and my teammates and my friends were there for me during my events, and that meant so much to me, that I really feel like I need to be there for them during their events.
Rippon then took to Twitter to reiterate the news saying, I actually found everything out about the offer via twitter
2018 is wild girl.

Translation: No more hookups.
Zackly. He’s a kid in a candy store. Or possibly candy in a kid store.
I buddy of mine won the gold in 1996 summer games in beach volleyball he said the place was one big F$%^ fest in the village
I don’t blame him. There’s plenty of time for commentating later when he’s done with skating.
The NBC Olympic tail-spin continues...
I actually found everything out about the offer via twitter 2018 is wild girl.
...”wild girl”?! I don’t get it. Is this guy gay? Every time I turn on the Olympics some new “brave” soul is announcing they’re gay. I stopped turning it on as a result so I have no idea. Maybe someone should call a press conference and announce that they’re straight! “I’m a guy. I like girls. The end.”
I heard the same as a local. There was a recent article about these games about how many condoms the IOC ordered for Olympic village, and it was some semi-astronomical number.
No kidding. With all the allegations of sexual abuse on Olympic teams it is hypocrisy that the networks are pushing a sexual agenda.
He is in the Olympic Village to get rectal fissures. He isnt leaving the village until he is all fissured up.
The Love That Dare Not Speaks Its Name has become The Love That Won’t Shut The H*** Up.
We don’t care what you do in your spare time, just spare us the details.
Yes, he has a chance to be the belle of the ball for another week!
Broadcast Gaffes...
Well when you have a bunch of total morons having to come up with things to say, this what you get.
I would love to see Fox News’ weekend ace, Julie Banderas, cover the Olympics.
She is so unamazing and not impressive both with and without her teleprompter. Never has weekend snews been more overly dramatic and pointless than with Julie!
I have heard the same. It is apparently one hell of a party, especially after the athletes are done competing in their own sport. I wonder if anyone is partying with the North Korean Cheerleaders (I mean besides their bodyguards and NK government officials).
As the day is long.
I remember hearing that Katarina Witt took the gold in the après-skating events.
Funniest comment of the Olympics!
Add to that, if he went and played in the other candy store, he could be charged with sexual deviancy if he so much as smiled at a fellow employee.
The liberals have always loved the Olympics. Now that the poofters have overrun the public face of them they really love them.
Correct my #17. He’s gay, according to postings. Same sentiment, though. He looks for playmates in the real world (male or female), someone doesn’t like it, and he’s guilty until proven innocent.
Never leave the fudge packing to others when you can do it yourself, right Adam?
