Yeah, I just checked the video.
Yeah.
Ahhhh. That was terrible!!!
Now that’s funny shiznit!
I kinda liked it. What’s the beef?
Last week or so someone posted a video of chelsea clinton talking, & she sounded like a goat.
This fergie woman sounded like that.
It infuriates me that someone who is given the honor of singing our national anthem, butchers it.
Damn it. Sing it the way Francis Scott Key & John Stafford Smith wrote it to be sung.
Haha. Yes, much worse.
I’m not a Fergie fan, but I liked how she sang it.
It wasn’t as bad as I had expected, but not ‘top of the line’.
I think she was nervous. She may not have sung in that particular gymnasium before, and was getting used to the sound. She started too high and too stridently, boxing herself into a tricky trap.
I think Fergie was trying to sing it the way Judy Garland used to do, but without the near same graceful power that Judy always did. Fergie had zero virbrato. This may have helped taper the edges of each phrase.
Fergie’s delivery was to more or less SHOUT IT OUT.
I think she was trying to approach the song with a Night-Clubbish Cool’. That’s not a good fit for that song, one so heavy with meaning.
Well at least she didn’t per her pants again...

That was awful.
She must never be allowed to sing in public again.
There is a point near the end when the singer goes high. The crowd starts cheering. i thank they were laughing because her rendition didnt call for cheers.
Wow two threads on this hot breaking news story.
Ouch. The claws of two cats fighting dragged across a chalkboard.
Oh-woah, zay...can...you..seeeeee...
Buy the Dawnz...earl...eee...(ah)light...
