Do you have soyboys in your life that are goading you into a fruitless discussion on your right to defend yourself? Have you been told to politely engage with uselss people in a parle on your rights? Just say no, and say yes to standards.

Besides the fact that Leftism is emotion based primarily on control of others, the other main problem with Leftism is, Leftism is based on a hideously expensive and dangerous foundation that is composed of one giant lie, and that is their belief in the following:
LEFTISTS: People are inherently good, and if you treat them right, remove poverty, ignorance and disease from their lives, then all of the bad people will melt away, and we will live in a utopian harmony with our fellow man."
Granted, the people at the top don't believe that (they understand Leftism is power and control of others) but the legions under them do believe it, and act as their useful idiots.
I think many conservatives understand (just at the Founding Fathers completely did) that humans are weak and flawed, and we need a government that protects all of us from a government filled with flawed people, particularly those that have good intentions. (Especially those with good intentions.)
We understand that there are some people who are just...bad. They are not redeemable. They cannot be rehabilitated. They are bad, and need to be dealt with, and not with the love of human kindness. And if you don't deal with them, they will oppress, rob, rape, or murder you, and it won't bother them a bit.
If “they” pass a law banning guns, “they” can come and take them.
Nobody, especially “they”, wants to see how that turns out.
You got that right. I love the way these gun grabbers think Congress can override the 2nd amendment. Or 90 million gun owners.

The hard core leadership element of the left truly are psychotic, but most rank and file liberal sheeples are just hopelessly brain washed bots, who've had their critical thinking skills beaten out of them.
Either variety is impossible to reason with. That mindset virtually guarantees a violent confrontation with the Normals at some point in the future. At present, i can't see any way to avoid it.

The latest population estimate is 327 million Americans.
According to a recent CBS poll 36% of American households own a gun.
36% of 327 million = 118 million.
Given that it's a CBS poll and gun-owning "households" often have more than one gun owner in residence I think it's fair and conservative to round up to 120 million.

It doesn't help that they willingly consume a steady diet of leftist misinformation and outright lies. It's a widespread social disorder that's going to kill this country if we don't find some way to eradicate it.
Ok...so let’s stipulate that, for whatever political and practical reasons, that the US Congress passes a Bill that effectively bans AR style rifles. The bill prohibits the further manufacture, import, sale or use of such firearms.
Furthermore, the bill prohibits the same for .223 and 5.56 ammo.
Finally, the bill mandates that every AR style weapon be turned in by a certain date...or else they will be searched for and confiscated.
The bill goes to Trump.
He pocket vetoes it.
Congress over rides his veto and the bill is now a law.
What happens next?
When does the shooting start?
SCOTUS slaps it down immediately?
Who has to sue who?
If it all stands and “some” turn their arms in, then what happens to the Militia?
What scenario is most plausible?

Millions of people die. Or not. Depends on how quickly those who would have the firearms confiscated catch on to the fact that they are all going to die.
I’m in Colorado and when the state passed the “high capacity” mag ban, almost every County Sheriff said they would not enforce the law.
I could see the BATF raiding a gun range and finding ARs on the line or in a vehicle and try to take it and the owner down.
Downhill from there in multiple states.

Did that some time ago. My poor uber-liberal sister died a couple months after Trump was elected. Dunno if there was a connection, poor thing had breast cancer years earlier.
Regardless, we had stopped talking a years earlier, before Obola usurped the office.
