Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin warned that if Senator Barack Obama were elected president, his indecision and moral equivalence may encourage Russias Vladimir Putin to invade Ukraine.
Palin said then:
After the Russian Army invaded the nation of Georgia, Senator Obamas reaction was one of indecision and moral equivalence, the kind of response that would only encourage Russias Putin to invade Ukraine next.
For those comments, she was mocked by the high-brow Foreign Policy magazine and its editor Blake Hounshell, who now is one of the editors of Politico magazine.
Hounshell wrote then that Palins comments were strange and this is an extremely far-fetched scenario.
And given how Russia has been able to unsettle Ukraines pro-Western government without firing a shot, I dont see why violence would be necessary to bring Kiev to heel, Hounshell dismissively wrote.

These events were put in motion by Hillary Clinton and friends.
There is no possible spirit that Russia could act in, in response to that, that is more “vicious and dark” in spirit than the motives of the Clinton mafia.
The perpetual drive of Clinton/McCainites and the like to push NATO to Russia’s borders, and the role of events in Ukraine to that end, is the bottom line over which reasonable individuals ought to be most concerned.
That is the driving force, the prime mover - everything else is response and reaction. Only a person who is brainwashed into pretending the most important relevant events are of little to no significance can ignore this.
Great synopsis, Rose, just like most of your comments which I find to be spot on.
I dated a Ukrainian girl a while back, and though she was from Lviv in the west, she had recently come to hate Putin above all others.
Well Hillary Clinton is rather confusing isn’t she? She made so much money off Russians and vice versa: She sold 20% of our Uranium to them. Her husband bagged $500,000 per speech before businessmen in Moscow. She practically organized all the U.S. partner companies that would invest in Skolkovo (Russia’s wannabe Silicon Valley) AND gave precious technology away in the process. The Clinton Foundation banked hundreds of millions of dollars with her overseeing deals made between Rostech/Boeing, etc..etc...
McCain I know is close to some Putin opponents (Russia’s opposition is as annoying as the ruling party) - but that’s all I know.
Regardless of outside interests corrupting the cause though, the fact remains: there is a genuine revolutionary spirit and hunger for freedom among average, honorable Ukrainian citizens.
Tell that to the people in Donetsk
No one has been attacked more by the hard left more than Sarah except perhaps President Donald Trump. That should tell us something about how much the hard left fears those who love the U.S.
The Ultimate ticket would have been Trump/Palin....
No question. Steel skin is required by today’s Republicans, especially conservative ones, to survive in the toxic atmosphere of dc. Of course the minute you leave dc....it all changes.....
Sarah has been proven correct in her observations on many occasions!
No one wishes to belong to the Kleptocracy in the Kremlin, even a majority of Russians want nothing to do with the criminals ruling Russia.
Thanks for the ping.
