I'll be putting up Tapes 21 and 22. After that, there are perhaps 6 tapes from before Tape 1, and perhaps 10 unlabeled tapes that I'll need to identify.
Are these CNN/ Fox News collections or private videos?
I taped a lot of those at the time as my son was involved.
It’s my private collection of tapes. I’m a packrat, so whenever anything interesting happened, I used to settle in front of the TV and tape continuously, often waking up in the night to change tapes. I’ve thrown out close to 30 large garbage bags full of video tapes and am trying to chunk my way through the news tapes so I can throw those out, too. So many were unlabelled.
They show channel changing, though I try to get out what I can. I take out the commercials I find, but sometimes miss. Apologies. I stop taping events when the commercials come back full bore because it usually means that the big event is almost over. I think the earliest I kept were the Oliver North hearings tapes. I adored him.
Good thoughts to your son, and to you for all the worries you had to have lived through.
Thank you
You’re most sincerely welcome. It’s good for them to have a home beyond the dark box in the closet.
The tapes were recorded during the time that the poor Christians in Iraq were unaware of the horrors that were waiting for them.
It does break your heart to think of that. History has to involve both aspects - the understanding of the thought processes of the time (something dropped by current historians), and the look back to see how past actions created present situations.
Thanks. My Son was a very young Lt. and got himself a Bronze Star during that conflict, in the very earliest days. None of his Unit were killed there, but there was some stressful periods. He is all done with Military now, safe and back.
I will be looking at your videos. Thanks for providing this service.
