"It's a little like witnessing the unveiling of an enormous statue on the public square with the public square being the world of Rosa Parks, Martin Luther King Jr., Malcolm X and Nelson Mandela dressed in bright dashikis," writes Abdul-Jabbar.

That’s just....sad.
black panther is projected to earn 8% of the US GDP in its first weekend. its the biggest, most important movie no one has ever seen.
In most ‘black’ films the hero robs someone and gets a white girl.
Part of the curriculum was to watch this movie in class. You can find the movie (and trailers) on the web. It is nothing but a Black Supremacist cauldron of hate, lies, and rubbish. It calls for white genocide, says that blacks will become "gods" once whites are eradicated or enslaved, and states that it was really "Blacks from Egypt" who "invented" just about everything, from the fork to astronomy.

Again, I am not making this up.
The movie Black Panther is simply a mainstream attempt at perpetuating this garbage.
The hype for this movie surpasses ANYTHING I have ever seen.
That should tell you something.
Did you see all of the screaming from the "black community" when a forensic anthropologist went on the Today Show, and unveiled a bust that showed what Queen Nefertiti really looked like. Well, the bust didn't look "black" and the nut jobs went ballistic.
Look at this from the NY Times. https://www.nytimes.com/2018/02/13/style/black-panther-children-costumes.html
Ill bet Wesley Snipes (Blade) and Michael Jai White (Spawn) are quite disgusted from all of this.
My idea of black role-model movies are those starring Sidney Poitier. He played black gentlemen.
When and where did you go to grad school?
Yea,they’ll sell two tickets in China!
Several times, and several places. I have multiple graduate degrees.
Kareem who? Is that a captured ISIS terrorist?
“If you’re so mighty, why were you enslaved?”
In the context of this discussion, when and where did you take the black studies class where you saw the film you mentioned?
Hey, I would love it if young black people all over this great country would see the movie, have an epiphany and decide that being noble, educated and speaking the Queens’ English was the way to go.
Sadly, that’s NOT what the Left see as empowering about the characters in this movie.
He’s African, not African American. That’s like me being proud of the movie ‘Leprechaun’.
Yep...so advanced that they kidnapped one another and sold them unto slavery, wherein they ended up picking cotton.
Real advanced.
I wish the truth could be told...just once...the truth...which would help all of us to act in a way to prevent such from happening again.
But...too damned easy to be a victim.
The only black panther I enjoy watching is Cam Newton when he gets his ass kicked and loses. Except when playing the Ravens, Redskins or Cowboys.
I lol’d. He’d be the tallest, at least.
Bring on the tie-ins!
