A day after the unveiling of the official portrait of former President Obama, who is depicted sitting in a chair positioned amid a wall of bushes, Twitter is having an amusing laugh at the expense of the 44th presidents portrayal.
The social-networking site exploded Tuesday with humorous memes inspired by the portrait thats set to be displayed at the Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery.
In one popular meme depicting the portraits of a dozen U.S. presidents, Twitter users noted that one of these things doesnt look like the other:

Pretty ironic that his Presidential portrait is so markedly different from all the others that a shade or two darker skin is NOT the thing that makes him stand out over the years.
Eventually everyone will know that back in the early 2000s a President wasnt even an American citizen, fooled the whole country, and our generation will appear so foolish.

In the full collection of presidential portraits, how will anyone be able to pick the gay one?

Other than the "perks" of the office, Obama treated the office of the President as a joke, and this painting is an apropos image of what his presidency and accomplishments will be seen as--a joke.
He had the opportunity to become a historic President, one whose time in office could've served as role model for young black Americans to integrate into society. He could have served to show that the United States, despite some blemishes in her past, is still the land of opportunity for anyone who worked hard.
We all know that he did none of those things, so this painting is more than fitting. If there's any justice in the world, any karma for him, history will eventually show the soiled legacy he deserves.

“A big White Sox fan like Obama would be sitting in the ivy of Cominskey Field.”
Ahem, that’s Comiskey Park, & Obama would not be welcome in it if it were still around.

This is the quality of painting you get when you decide to choose a black artist instead of the "best" artist. If you look at the other Presidential portraits they are dignified. Obammy's is not, and for good reason. The painting below would have been more fitting. It could be titled "Obama's reaction to Trump erasing his Presidency".

These Obama “paintings” make the Peter Hurd painting of LBJ (”That’s the ugliest thing I ever saw.”-LBJ)look great!

Just saw the news about this portrait...
He tried, but to be honesty, Roxy Music did it best:
