A big cat poacher has been killed and eaten by the pride of lions he was hunting at a private game reserve in South Africa.
The hunter was heard screaming for help as he was attacked at the Ingwelala Private Nature Reserve in Hoedspruit outside Phalaborwa.
But the lions quickly killed their victim and devoured most of his body before being chased off, leaving his head untouched.

Cats like to eat brains. My Jake eats the heads off the rabbits he kills and leaves the bodies in a neat row on the patio.
However, a human skull is pretty hard to crack, even for a large predator like a lion. It would probably take a hyena to get through to the nutrients.

The ravens in my neighborhood have that problem figured out with walnuts. They fly over and drop them on the pavement cracking them wide open. If only kitties could fly.
