Yup. You don’t have to be faster than the lion. You just have to be faster than your buddy. If you’re not, a shot to the knee will slow him up. ;-)

But if you miss the shot that only gives him the adrenaline rush to run faster.
Better to aim for center mass. His groaning and stumbling will draw the kitties while you run like the wind.
