It's day 4! I didn't stay up all night and watch events live, so I'll have to settle for canned Olympics.
Depending on how the other females do, this makes me feel a bit better about our chances to medal.
Second skater from Japan isn’t as polished and as elegant as the first skater, and some of the choreography is a little strange. “Naivete in choreography,” that’s what one commentator said. Ouch.
Third skater in blue skating to “Rhapsody in Blue”—love her choice of music!
He will never be accused of being bland...
Yep...remembering when 100 pianos played that for the opening ceremonies at the LA Olympics in 1984.
I think this Canadian girl might do pretty well here.
Here comes the gay..
Not in my house. Turned the channel
Whenever the fagotry comes on. Its not cute, funny, or entertaining. Just insulting, no thanks.
It used to be about sports. Now, not so much.
Snowboarding? That idiot kid could barely put a coherent statement together. He sounded like Spicolo!!
The Canadian girl skated very nicely, loved her music!
And even more overrepresentation of blacks than usual - I guess they are trying to make-up for the “White Olympics” or something. It’s totally overboard.
He’s a 17 year old snowboarder, not Shakespeare. Cut him some slack
I love the skating cos I love the music, especially the classical pieces. I love it when a song just barely starts and I can yell at my dog the song title and composer. Must be the band geek in me. Seriously, does anyone who wasn't a performer or band geek like classical? Well, wait, I loved classical before I knew what it was, and before I joined band, so that answers that, LOL!
I watch because as much as I wanted to dislike the obviously gay skater (sorry, can't remember his name) and I even told Kiwi the Official Olympic Australian Shepherd “I hope he falls. I hope I hate his skating”. And then guess what? I judged him based on his performance, not who he sleeps with. He was exceptional! A pleasure to watch. So, while I don't enjoy listening to him pontificate, I do appreciate the fine job that he does. Just like musicians...don't care what their politics are, does their music rock?
Oh, and I watch for those exceptional moments when people do things that are just plain fantastic-and those people are not always the athletes.
The Italian didn’t do as well as last night, I thought.
Oh, and I watch for the Stand By You commercial, for the shout-out they give the Cajun Navy.
Sometimes, we just need a big ol dose of “Hey, we could be like this, not all the time, but we could be like it enough to make a difference in someone’s life”.
According to these commercials, 60% of the population is black, 80% percent are trannies/queer, 70% are disabled, blah blah blah.
Yes, and now every marriage is biracial, too.
Yes, I’ve noticed the 90% of marriages are biracial B.S.
I am SICK of that Microsoft commercial with Common the Rapper ranting away. Enough already, I don’t need to see it four times an hour.
Yup.
Yikes...the Japanese and the Italians didn’t really do so well.
If the ShibSibs can pull off a really good performance (and if the Russians DON’T), we could see a silver.
(News flash...Canada’s got the gold locked up.)
And now...the Rooskies.....
The Shibs! YESSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!
Awesome team skate!
