The 2018 Winter Olympics have arrived and the spotlight isn't only on the athletes.
The world is keeping a close eye on the skills, performance, and fashion of announcers, too, and on day one of competitions when people wanted a hot new Olympics meme Johnny Weir and Tara Lipinski volunteered as tribute.
The professional figured skaters showed up looking like announcers for The Hunger Games and Twitter was shook.
The two got their hair did and busted out their best maroon sequins numbers for the big night. It was straight up Caesar Flickerman and Effie Trinket in that arena.

Call me a hopeless romantic but I always thought they should have married each other.
She’s married now but getting married to her instead of a man would have been so much better for Johnny. He and his “husband” had a violent breakup recently.
Actually, it looks like Johnny has ‘straightened up’ his act a little bit since we saw him at the last Winter Olympics. :=)
They’re probably saving a bit of money as well by eliminating the crewmember standing by with a fire extinguisher.

Ol’ Johnny is giving off some serious gay vibes, as usual. Stanley Tucci did a great job with that character, as usual.
I remember her competing. She was only a child but she had what my old football coach used to repeat over and over.

I’m surprised they don’t have same-sex ice dancing, etc. Yet.
It’s true that they both look as though weird things have happened to their faces.

There was a guy named Lipinski in my unit. He was a real odd duck. I wonder if they’re related.
