I don’t know if it is the same program but a few weeks ago there was one about Waco on one of the odd channels I get.
I just assumed it would be a whitewash but now wish I had watched it.
I thought that first Waco documentary, I think it won an academy award for best documentary, was just devestating. Even without the controversial FLIR thermal film footage segment it is a stunning indictment.
WACO on Paramount is a drama with Hollywood actors. Like it so far.
WACO: Mad Man or Messiah on A&E a documentary with some interesting film clips including early Koresh. like this one too.

Here is a good article where they interviewed the directors and producers of the show, 2 brothers. One doesn’t need to read the whole article, I think the underlying message they say is Koresh may have done some indefensible things but most of the people at that Branch Davidian complex were good people, innocent people. Good series, I’ve watched all 3 episodes so far.
Robert Jay Mathews—Gordon Kaul—The Branch Davidians
Interesting how several FBI assault operations on antigovernment figures have ended with death because of a fire of mysterious origin.
Yes. And that was the kinder/gentler FBI/ATF attacking women and children.
I can’t now remember the name of the Congressman, I think it was Phil Graham that said:
David Koresh was a NUT, but it is not against the law to be a NUT in this country”
I have thought of that quote many times in the last 25 years.
After watching last night I did some research because it was different than I recall. It appears they are lifting versions of the story from both sides of the account.
If found the account of shooting the dogs at the start interesting.
I recall thinking the whole thing was overkill at the time.
between this and Elian Gonzales...
I came here to see what you all say about the show’s accuracy. It is horrible. How much is true? Did Koresh first come out unarmed? I remember being told that there were children being abused, etc. Nothing like that is shown on this show.
Wednesday’s episode makes the FBI look like a bunch of sadistic and authoritarian jackboots.
The one man’s comments about how law enforcement is “five thousand to one” against the people and that they only control us through fear outraged me.
I imagine next Wednesday we’ll be treated to scenes of the FBI popping champagne as people burn to death.

I am just watching it on my DVR.
I am amazed how we were lied to.
Did any heads roll in FBI or ATF after all was said and done.
