I agree. When I lived in Utah even being a somewhat experienced hiker I didn’t attempt that. The narrows and Kolob Canyon on the other hand were absolutely fantastic.

How completely horrible! I can’t imagine who had more Horror in their heart, the girl has she plunged 1,000 feet to her death or her parents as a saw her falling hit or death.

We were at the South Rim of the Grand Canyon a few years ago and I asked a ranger how many people die from falling off each year. “Oh, about a dozen, almost all of them teen-aged boys” he said.
