Add this to the list of decisions affected by climate change: Should I have children?
It is not an easy time for people to feel hopeful, with the effects of global warming no longer theoretical, projections becoming more dire and governmental action lagging. And while few, if any, studies have examined how large a role climate change plays in peoples childbearing decisions, it loomed large in interviews with more than a dozen people ages 18 to 43.
A 32-year-old who always thought she would have children can no longer justify it to herself. A Mormon has bucked the expectations of her religion by resolving to adopt rather than give birth. An Ohio woman had her first child after an unplanned pregnancy and then had a second because she did not want her daughter to face an environmental collapse alone.
Among them, there is a sense of being saddled with painful ethical questions that previous generations did not have to confront. Some worry about the quality of life children born today will have as shorelines flood, wildfires rage and extreme weather becomes more common. Others are acutely aware that having a child is one of the costliest actions they can take environmentally.

"...??..sometimes it best to let the wanderers wander"
You are quite right, we must keep looking up for answers and reminders.
There are a lot of reasons people don’t have children, but citing climate change as a reason is evidence they shouldn’t reproduce.
I see no down side of people who believe this man-made climate change hoax NOT reproducing.
...
Ditto.
ya....cuz kids can’t survive if they don’t have their own bedroom, bathroom, & TV.....
True. Anyone stupid or gullible enough to believe in something solely evidenced by rigged computer models ought not reproduce. Let their lines end along with their “carbon footprints”.
Should be specific that the “something” is the supposed effects on climate of human activities. The climate is ever changing and has been for billions of years, no thanks or blame to us.
And one billion of the highly-educated ones are still too stupid to read signs that say “Please do not spit your chewing gum into the urinal”.
These are the same people who don’t know the difference between a boy and a girl. So, it’s kind of hard to imagine them having many children anyway.
Finally!
One positive thing about "global warming," real or delusional.
The fragile IQ-deprived, psychologically hysterical snowflakes don't really need to breed...
Creative Humanity thanks you!
It's never been theoretical specially in the scientific sense.
It's been fraudulent from the start.
Written for the educated layman, A Disgrace to the Profession, by Mark Steyn, written not too long ago, explains the fraud so anyone can understand it.
The book has never been refuted; ridiculed by the hysterics, yes. Refuted? not even close.
Your chances of dying an ugly agonizing death is greater having your heart ripped out while alive by a mexican illiterate mountain indian (or a drug cartel animal) than succumbing to "global Warming."
That is a pathetically ignorant statement.
Similar and much much worse warmings are in the historical record. Fourth Century, 9th Century and 13th Century.
Millions died worldwide.
I consider the internet the most marvelous technological marvel of the last 150 years; It brings the history of millennia into our homes.
Including accounts of repeated droughts and freezings worldwide, lasting a decade or more.
The only planet that never has deadly extremes of temperature is a dead planet.
Not their jobs, families, goals, etc. but a hoax perpetrated by evil men who want to control people.
