“Universal basic income” for half the population requires “universal basic theft” from the other half.
If this group were generating something...a service, a product, or a item of value...then I wouldn’t have much to say against it. But in this case, you paid for nothing. It wouldn’t take an idiot long to figure that you can sit at home and do nothing....getting paid to do nothing, and it’d only make sense that you make this your profession.
I think they will have to raise that amount to at least $1500 a month. But why stop there, why don’t they give them $5,000 a month? What the hell, it’s not like the city didn’t just go bankrupt 5 years ago.
