Some are fake/misrepresented. I don't recall there being mountains at Normandy. The German soldier crying is a screenshot from the movie
The BridgeI'm doubtful about the boy wearing the oversized uniform.

“Eastern Beer Only” in the bar photo? I guess the Western beer was of lower quality.

Agree. The kid in the oversized uniform appears to be in Soviet uniform as well, not German as the caption indicates.

One picture is from a movie, so NOT historical. The kid in the trench being told to toughen up, is from the German movie
"The Bridge" (Die Bruke):

“Wow, that picture of the German kid is haunting.”......
Unfortunately the reality is, such things happen in all wars. The photo showed that the soldier was human like all of us.

The “movie” photo, being fake or not, showed what does happen in wars. See my prior post.

"I'm doubtful about the boy wearing the oversized uniform."On top of which, that's not a stahlhelm. Polish? Czech? Finnish? Danish? Doesn't look Soviet, either.

On top of which, there is no eagle and swastika over the right shirt pocket. The only thing “German” in that picture is the potato-masher hand grenade.

A Normandy Beach landing photo they don't show in textbooks - Brave women of the Red Cross arriving in 1944 to help the injured troops, WWII. No snowflakes in that picture.
