America’s biggest regret is that SOB wasn’t sterile

Which side of Joe Kennedy wasn't dark?

It’s astonishing how the left rails about racism involving blacks but simultaneously can embrace hatred of Jews. It reveals their sinister agenda.

From 2015:

Rose Kennedy talks about daughter’s lobotomy, banning crying in the ‘cursed’ clan and how she would weigh her children every week in recently uncovered interview

When I was a kid I used to go to the same Sunday morning Mass and sit in the same area as Eunice Shriver. Other than her wild hair, I remember that she was a truly very good person. There was however, an intensity about her that could easily have been trouble. I think the whole family was like that.

Reading up on Rose Kennedy's lobotomy was horrific. Fearing she would embarrass the family, Joe took his slightly dimwitted and rebellious but otherwise normal 23-year old daughter and quite literally had her brains scrambled while she was conscious and reciting the Lord's Prayer. Only when she could no longer speak was the procedure stopped. By then, it was too late. She had been rendered a vegetable.

Outliving four of her siblings, Rose would be the first of Joe's children to die of natural causes at the age of 86.

From what I understand, ol’ Joe was more of a criminal than he was a mere crook.

Oh wow, this biographer works hard to make the point that Kennedy Sr wasn’t as strong an anti Semite as he could have been. Well, gee, that is cool and changes so much.

"In May 1940, Winston Churchill replaced Chamberlain and Britain declared war a few months later. The rest, as they say, is history."

Between this howler and reference to the Kennedy's as "a well respected political family" the author self identifies as a LOLI (Liberal of Low Intellect), itself a tautology.

Joe Kennedy, Sr. was Boston’s version of Al Capone. He should have been charged with treason during WWII when he was ambassador to GB.

I’ve always imagined Joe making the mistake of bargaining with the Devil.

“Let my sons rise to power”

Only to lose 3 of them and a daughter, and have babbling Ted the lone survivor.

there is only a small margin of justice in that the POS was chair bound and could only cry and soil itself for the last eight years of it's life

or if he regretted lobotomizing and institutionalizing his mentally-ill first daughter, Rosemary, in 1941 and insisting that uttering her name was verboten in the Kennedy house.

The book, "Sins of the Father" by Ronald Kessler explains Rosemary's problem the best.

She was not mentally-ill, she had a learning disability and she was sort of a klutz. When the Kennedy's would all gather on the lawn to play sports, Rosemary did not excel. And old Joe thought that was not normal and he could not fathom having someone in the family who was not athletically perfect. (Eugenics much?)

Some have written that she was mentally retarded, however she could do higher-level math with ease.

What old Joe worried about was that she was so beautiful, he thought that she would become a loose woman and "embarrass" him by getting pregnant and flaunting herself. She did tend to be a bit erratic at times, but then if you were the family klutz in a family where physicality was a top priority, you'd be a bit upset too.

Because she was deemed a "problem" he decided to act without his wife's knowledge and found a doctor who would lobotomize her in order to straighten her out. The procedure caused her to become mentally incapacitated.

Yes, her father paid for someone to cripple his daughter mentally.

So, the Special Olympics, supposedly created in the honor of a mentally retarded Rosemary Kennedy, has a very crippled foundation.

Doesn't referring to Kennedy's "dark" side infer that there was another side...A "bright" side?

IMHO, he had no "dark" side...He was a totally "dark" person with a totally "dark" soul...
