His early books were good but his later works are repetitive, not very good or choke full of liberal
diatribes.
Geralds Game was last King book I read.
It’s perversions was sickening, especially the lakefront scence with the protagonist’s father. Sickening.(biographical???)
The scene in the tunnels with the preteens orgy in “It” was as revolting as it was unnecessary.
Either King has run out of ways to shock his readers or he is indulging in his own sick fantasies.
Either way I have bought my last Stephen King book long before this event.
(I must admit he had a good run run, everything from The Shining, Salem’s Lot to Delores Clayborne and Hearts in Atlantis. My favorite was The Stand and Christine )
King reminds me of Elton John. His early stuff was good & even holds up well (I loved SALEM'S LOT, THE STAND, THE SHINING) but later declined.
