Survivor: Ghost Island is the thirty-sixth season of Survivor (for those unfamiliar with the show, there are two seasons each year). It begins Wednesday, February 28, 2018 on CBS at 8/7c with a special two hour episode.

As with the last three seasons, this season will be held in the Mamanuca Islands, Fiji. This will be the 5th time overall that the show has been held in Fiji. It will consist of 20 new players divided into two tribes.

The players range in age from 18 to 43. There are 5 from New York, 4 from California (all from Southern California), 3 from Florida, and one each from Colorado, Kentucky, Illinois, Minnesota, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, and Virginia.

The contestants are confronted by the mistakes of contestants from previous seasons, with mementos from past seasons filling up Ghost Island. The premise is for the contestants to learn from the mistakes of past contestants to avoid repeating them. (Wikipedia)

Do people still watch this? Apparently so. I watched the very first few episodes of the first season and quickly decided it had nothing to do with survival, but was a popularity contest.
