There are some different schools of thought on cheese. This website: dietdoctor.com has a lot of good information on low carb and Keto. You do need to drink a lot of water, that is true.
Thanks! I am learning and this diet continues to evolve.
Apples are good because of their net fiber/sugar ratio. Likewise with grapes, believe it or not. I have an addiction to citrus fruit, which is bad voodoo.
It will evolve. Because we are all different and the most important thing is that your diet works for you. I started 6 years ago with paleo and at some point I even (my gut bacteria even?) developed new adult onset food allergies, for real. I avoided all carbs, and I went a bit crazy sometimes, binging on sweets, because my gut bacteria were making me insanely crave any carbs. They were desperate. Now they correctly crave roasted and some raw veggies and tubers. They only need about one or two servings a day. And we are all happy And well fed. And Im still learning.
One thing I really have learned that is so important is, HOW DO YOU FEEL AFTER YOU EAT IT? Pay attention to the next hour, or even three hours. If you feel horrible or even just out of it after eating X, time to remember that. There are so many things to eat that make you feel fine after. You have to focus on them.
Grapes are way too sweet for me. I prefer 85% dark chocolate.

Felt the same way. Had mental fog and a mild headache the whole time.
“Apple seeds contain amygdalin, which is converted into cyanide when the seeds are chewed or crushed. Cyanide is highly poisonous...”
Thanks. I eat LOTS of veggies; my wife and I have salad loaded with vegetables and a bit of leafy greens and spinach three, sometimes four, nights per week. We are fortunate our local grocery stores here in California have remarkable produce all year round. My wife always has hers dry, but I like some vinaigrettes on mine most times.
I started taking a probiotic supplement about three weeks ago thinking my gut flora may be imbalanced (I worked in some small Asian villages with poor sanitation many years ago). Went to my doc last week and he suggested taking a probiotic supplement. I had the pleasure of telling him “I’m ahead of you.”
You needed to have more fiber (nuts and such) and drink more water.
A few will not hurt but eating it every day can be problematic.
the Medical Industrial Complex sentenced tens of millions to Alzheimers, Parkinsons, MS and dementia due to their disastrous recommendations — for nearly 40 years — that eggs, butter, coconuts, avocados and other “fats” and “cholesterols” were evil.

Thanks for posting
Cool. My favorite probiotic is soil rather than dairy based. Its very effective. Prescript Assist. Amazon has it.
Im not believing they are harmful. In Europe everyone eats the entire apple except the stem. They never cut out or leave off the core.

There may be some cancer prevention in these seeds and pits (though not much in apple seeds) too.
Back in The Day, the first low carb book came out “Martinis and Whipped Cream”. Great title, someone should revisit that. Anyway, after two weeks of staring at broiled chicken my sister and I were ready to take each other out. Maybe if we’d been old enough for martinis it wouldn’t have been so tragic...
