Everyone I meet down the Pub thinks I'm some brilliant businessman forging and empire.
They see me engaged in my work, deep in thought and driving ahead.
They comment, your the guy who always works.
The chick bartenders whisper they wish their husbands we 1/2 as ambitious.
They know what I want, pour before I ask and are happy to be part of my insane drive.
They just don't realize I'm Freepin'
...and yes it takes immense concentration and a great sense of humor.

Lived in Del Mar 1957-1958. Went to Del Mar Union School. Loved that town back then.
I lived in apartments where the South 101 split to the Ocean drive in. The one bedroom with the tile floor was amazing.
Jeep Wrangler with a bikini top and a lift kit - doors off.
Up and down the 101.
Charmed life. in my 20s/30s
Eddie Akai was painted on a wall in a Rocket Wraps shop in Cardiff by the Sea CA.
I went there often.
I looked him up an said - perfect!
My moniker came from that moment.
The 01 was because Eddie was taken.
Akai or Aikau?

Growing up in Huntington Beach I fondly remember the bust of Duke Kahanamoku displayed in the roundabout at the base of the pier.
Both men were legendary.
Best to you for many more years to come - - from another ‘98. Freep on...
Exactly. How embarrassing.
